Romprest invests 12 million Euros in a more efficient collection system
Romprest, one of the most important waste management, facility management and planning green spaces companies, invests 12 million Euros this year, in a project that will be a more efficient collection system and it will continue the investment in equipment and in the labor force.
One of the company's priorities is the environmental protection. Thus, following European directives, the company will run from 2012 - 2013 a large project that will be a more efficient system of collection, transport and recovery for recycling waste. The investment in this project amounts to 12 million Euros. The project, unique in Romania, should be an automated sorting station, which will be reducing the ramp storage with 40%. At this point, according to EU legislation we are required to reach a target of 15%.
In 2012 the company will continue to invest in equipment and software to expand the company's fleet vehicles for work – waste management, facility management, landscape architecture services – by the budgeting of over 5 million Euros. The investment made by the company, during 2001 - 2011, in the fleet of 600 machines amounts to more than 35 million Euros.
Another priority is the long-term development of the employees’ potential, continuing the qualification - retraining programs. Romprest has two ongoing projects financed through the Sectoral Operational Programme for Human Resources Development 2007-2013. In the first project, amounting to 500,000 Euros, 300 employees will be trained and retrained in January 2012 - April 2013, (- workers for specialized waste management equipment, disinfection, pest control and insect control agents, cleaning buildings and vehicles agents) . By the second project "Increasing employment in rural areas", amounting to approximately EUR 4,000,000, 960 workers will be employed in September 2010 - August 2012. So far 930 workers have been employed.
Romprest invested in its 11 years over 70 million Euros both in the fleet and in the staff, currently reaching over 6,000 employees.

By investing in people and equipment, we try to continuously improve the services we provide the community and businesses. At this point, our services are turning to communities where we serve 45 local councils and to the private sector, where we provide services for over 5,000 businesses ", said Elena Barabancea, Managing Department Director Romprest.
The constant improvement of services and the investment program was reflected in the evolution of the business, which was about 79 million Euros in 2011. For the current year the company aims to increase the turnover by 25%.
Romprest provides integrated facility management services, landscape architectural services, DDD and waste management services.
Waste Management and Snow Removal Division provides domestic waste disposal services, public waste management and snow removal services.
Facility Management Division offers customized solutions for any type of cleaning, using specially adapted technologies.
Landscape Architecture Division plans and maintains any type of green spaces with landscape specialists and professional equipment.
DDD Division ( Deratization, Disinfection, Disinsection) ensures pest control, by specific and reliable methods, developing customized plans for pest control and monitoring each case.
